Intrepid Workshop - ASEG PESA

G1: Tensor Processing: Gradient Processing

This course provides participants with an introduction to quality control, gridding and filtering of vector and full tensor datasets. You will learn to assess the quality of a tensor survey, interpret tensor data and optimise the signal content through linear differential de-noising [MITRE] and other methods.

Saturday 21 August 2010
8.30 am - 5 pm
Crowne Plaza, Darling Harbour

GeoModeller Workshop - ASEG PESA

G6: GeoModeller: Building a 3D Geology Model - Reconciled with Gravity / Magnetic Tensor Data

This one day workshop will initially introduce the 3D GeoModeller approach to building a 3D geology model. Users will add new geology data, and revise their interpretive ideas, and will learn that geology models can be easily revised and improved.

Friday 27 August 2010
8.30 am - 5 pm
Crowne Plaza, Darling Harbour

Unique Features — View a demo presentation (PDF 2.8 Mb opens in a new window or tab)

  • Build your geological models from primary geological observations
  • Built-in rules ensure your models are geologically sensible
  • Rapidly revise your models as new data becomes available
  • Accurately prediction of complex structural geology (overturned fold limbs, complex faults, shear zones and intrusions)
  • View geophysical datasets in the context of your geological model
  • Forward modelling of the geophysical responses using physical properties
  • Refine your model using inversion of gravity and magnetic survey data
  • Inversion processing explores a wide range of allowable models
  • Generate 3D voxet files and 'movies' of geological probability from inversion modelling

Version 1.3 of GeoModeller is now available for a FREE one-month evaluation trial.
